Site Group of Mao Zedong’s Survey in Caixi Township

The site group of Mao Zedong’s Survey in Caixi Township is located in Xiacai Village, Caixi Town, including the former site of Soviet in Caixi area, Glorious Pavilion, Lenin Platform, and former site of Trade Union in Caixi area (Lenin Hall). The former site of Sovietin in Caixi area was built in 1920 and covers an area of 1,070 square meters. The central hall is a mixed wooden beam with five columns in depth and three rooms in width. The tablet of “the Soviet Government of Caixi Area” is hung horizontally on the screen. In late November 1933, when Mao Zedong made a social survey in Caixi, he held a series of investigation meetings here and wrote the famous “Caixi Township Investigation”. On September 11, 1993, it was announced as the first batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection sites. In March 2013, it was announced as the seventh batch of national key cultural relic protection sites.
