Shangshudi (the Mansion of an High-ranked Official ) Complex

The Shangshudi Complex is dominated by two buildings, the Shangshudi and the Shidetang. The Shangshudi was announced as one of the third batch of national key cultural relic protection sites in 1988. The Shidetang was incorporated into the Shangshudi Complex in 2001 and was announced as one of the fifth batch of national key cultural relic protection sites. The entire buildings not only draw on the magnificent imposing manner of the capital’s official buildings, but also incorporate elements of the local government-style architecture, forming Taining’s unique “three halls and nine buildings” traditional brick-wood structure.
