China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship is a Level-I national museum featuring the historical relations between Mainland China (Fujian) and Taiwan. It serves the functions of collection, research, exhibition, exchange and service.

The museum hosts the permanent “Fujian-Taiwan Kinship” thematic exhibition, comprising seven sections: “Homeland in Antiquity”, “Blood Lineage”, “Common Affiliation”, “Joint Development”, “Shared Cultural Heritage”, “Worship of Deities”, and “Identical Customs”. The exhibition illustrates the historical fact that Taiwan has been part of the Chinese territory since ancient times, and that people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait worked closely together to build their shared homeland. The “Rustic Fujian and Taiwan” thematic exhibition uses panoramic display technique to present the shared folk customs practiced in Fujian and Taiwan in each of the four seasons.

Since its opening in May 2006, the museum has been designated as the National Demonstration Base for Patriotism Education, National Youth Education Base, Level-I National Museum and Cross-Strait Exchange Base.
