Brief Introduction to Ancient Crater of Niutou Mountain

The Ancient Crater of Niutou Mountian is one of the few complete elliptical submarine ancient craters in the world. Belonging to terrestrial volcano, it is the most complete and peculiar typical crater in Zhangzhou Coastal Volcano National Geopark with complete eruption mechanism and distinct layers. There were 15 eruptions, and the last one was 24.6 million years ago. A basalt pillar is like a terracotta warrior on the sea floor. Each pillar is inclined to the center of the sea at the same angle, which is magnificent.
