Houses and Family Temple of the Cai

Houses and Family Temple of the Cai are located in Qianlin Road, Jiaocheng District, Ningde City. They were built during the reign of Emperor Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1821-1850), covering 1,190 square meters. The gate of ancestral temple, Wenwu Gate, arch bridge on Banyue Pool, Yimen Gate and ambulatory are still existing in the Family Temple. The Exhibition Hall of Caiwei’s Indeeds in Jiaocheng District of Ningde City is the administrative unit of Houses and Family Temple of the Cai, which is used to remember, memorize and broadcast the remarkable contributionS to China’s revolutionary cause made by Caiwei Comrade. On July the 1st, 2008, the Exhibition Hall of Caiwei’s Indeeds was formally established and free to the public. In 2009, it was listed in the seventh batch of province-level culture relic protection sites by People’s Government of Fujian Province. It is demonstration base of national patriotism education, education base of the glorious traditions of technical investigation for the original Third Department of General Staff Headquarters of the Chinese PLA, education base of province-level national defence, education base of revolutionary traditions for province-level confidential cadres, education base of province-level Party history research, province-level historic site of the old revolutionary base areas, etc.
