Banyueli Village: Located in the northeast of Xinan Town, Xiapu County, there are 205 households with 781 people. Ancestor Lei Wenshou moved to Banyueli Village in the 22nd year during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1683), settled down, produced offspring and then formed the clan. Up to now, there are a lot of ancient buildings of She nationality in Qing Dynasty, including Longxi Palace, a provincial cultural protection site, Juren Mansion, Xiucai House, Le’s Ancestral Hall, Shizhaimen, etc., and seven intangible cultural heritages, such as marriage customs, novels and songs of She nationality, and green herbal medicine of She nationality, are preserved. It is the most complete village to preserve the historical and cultural heritages of She nationality in China. In 2010, it was listed in the first batch of “villages with Chinese minority characteristics”, in 2012, it was listed in the first batch of “traditional Chinese villages” by the State Council, in 2014, and it was listed in the “famous historical and cultural villages in China”. In 2014, “wedding customs of the She nationality in eastern Fujian” was listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list, and in 2019, it was listed in the “exchange base between Fujian and Taiwan”.
