Wenfeng’s Sandai Temple

During the Yuan Dynasty, Baihu Shunji Temple erected in the Song Dynasty, was relocated where it is, called Wenfeng Tianhou Palace or Wenfeng Palace. On the right of which, was set up Tianhou Sandai Temple by the prefecture magistrate, Gong Zhaolin in the Qianlong 22nd year (1757) of the Qing Dynasty. Facing west, the Temple has 3 rooms in its facade and one in its throat, of Chuan-dou type wooden frame, with an overhanging gable roof. Still, on the right of the add-on, rose up a three-level Upto Heaven Tower in 1940. Facing south, it is of Chuan-dou type wooden frame, with a gable and hip roof, which houses one wooden Mazu statue carved in the Song Dynasty, together with one stele of Yuan and two monument of Qing’s Jiaqing (1796-1820). The significant sacred place, to pay a tribute to Mazu across the city, Putian, made it into the seventh batch of cultural relic protection sites in Fujian.
